i have a sioux 50 grey import, bought as new and on the road in 2002. The story goes that it had been out of production and stored in a warehouse for the previous ten years......along with loads of others. They were imported and sold by a dealer in south croyden and the only spares available were the bikes they stripped for spares.....
the dealer no longer exists and bob wright only has a few bits and pieces......always looking for s/h spares.....any leads anyone?

I'd never heard of the Sioux. It may share the same engine as other Gilera 50s of that era but I don't think any of those were officially imported either.

Your best bet may be to look round for complete bikes being sold off that have the parts you need.

As my books tell the Sioux is some kind of a modern RC Top Rally 50.
This one was built from '90 on.
Looks like a little RC (old one)
It was replaced by the Sioux at the end of '90. This one looks more like a RCC (surprise)
I *think* most of the technical parts may be the same.
Maybe the Bullit 50 from those days also has the same engine.

ciao joachim

well i'm back, after looking for parts all over europe, relieving bob wright of much of his spares inventory i finally have enough to repair the accident damaged bike and perhaps build another one. Some of my replacement body panels require repairing but i have a fantastic repair product that will do the job. Parts that i needed for this bike didn't come up very often and it has taken me nearly thirteen years on/off to get the bits i need. I must crack on with this soon as i need the space and rebuilding the bike will get a lot of stuff off the shelf
